Buying a franchise already open, is sometimes the only way of buying a Curves franchise, as we only concede a limited number of areas per city. It is possible that in the pretended city, all the available areas have been sold, consequently making it not possible to buy a franchise of the brand. However, maybe the current boss of one of our current franchises may be interested in selling to you, their franchise.
Please, do not come to the assumption that all the franchises that are for resale, function badly. In reality, it is not correct to think that. Some of the last resales that took place in the whole Curves chain, were franchises with over 500 customers at the date of resale.
There may be a variety of motives why somebody might want to sell to you their franchise. Some may be simply because business did not meet the expected demands, or because the current personal situation of the proprietor is different than that of when the franchise was bought, or even maybe because of a bad management from the current proprietor. You must inform yourself with the actual proprietors, why these are on sale. Another advantage of the Curves franchise, is that in case you don't want to (or cannot) continue with the Curves business, we will collaborate in the resale process of your franchise to third-parties.
Each one of the proprietors has the freedom to decide on the resale value of the already set-up franchises. Its up to you to decide if the resale value is fair or not. Remember also that your name will not be merely substituted in the actual franchise resale contract, being that a new contract issued by the Curves brand, has a duration of 10 years.
To obtain a list of the centres available for resale, you must attend one of our meetings. In these meetings, once you have signed a confidentiality document, we will deliver all the information concerning available centres in our country.
